About
Previously of Susumi Studio, Schyler Gately (Sky-ler Gate-lee) has started designing under her own namesake.
Schyler spent many years in luxury retail, with a focus on high end jewelry, in which she established an understanding of what people look for in a piece of jewelry; its longevity and wearability. She started making her own jewelry with those ideas in mind and realized her love for craftsmanship and design.
Originally from North Carolina, Schyler moved to New York City in 2012 where she started creating handmade jewelry. She then made Los Angeles her home for nearly a decade before ultimately coming back to New York. She now splits her time between her Hudson Valley home and Brooklyn. If she is not working in her studio, you’ll likely find her outside in nature.
Since starting her journey, Schyler has found a focus on producing her jewelry entirely in house by hand using the sand cast method, with a highlight on sustainability and reusing once cherished pieces to create new heirlooms.
Handmade Homeware
Schyler started making brass hooks and candle holders for herself and friends and decided this was a natural progression within her brand. She has always loved home goods and loves the creative freedom working with brass and other materials gives her.
Handmade Fine Jewelry
It’s where it all started and Schyler’s first love. She continues to create collections with pieces that will last many lifetimes.
Vintage Homeware
Schyler has a long standing love for vintage and antique goods. Lately she has taken to scouring local estate sales and markets for those pieces you can’t live without.
Sand Cast and Custom Jewelry
Schyler started working with sand casting because she loves the organic and uniqueness of it. She is happy to work with you to create something special using sourced materials or reusing pieces you may already have.
